The Family Veterinary Center provides an adoption program for the relocation of homeless cats, the Puny Paws Placement Program. We work closely with the community and local shelters in an attempt to control the homeless cat population and are successful in finding more than 100 cats new homes every year. This program works solely off of your kind donations. We accept recyclable cans and bottles here at the clinic with all proceeds going to the care of these cats.
Please call the office if you are in need of relinquishing a cat. Our space is extremely limited. DO NOT leave a cat in a carrier outside of our building for any reason.
If you are interested in adopting a cat, please call the office. All cats are neutered and rabies vaccinated before going home. There is a $50 donation fee for adoption and a contractual agreement of the cat's care thereafter. Please note that we do not regularly have kittens and are generally strict about limiting this service to adult cats only.
Please call the Dakin Animal Shelter at 413-548-9898 or the Thomas J. O'Connor Shelter at 413-781-1484 for information on more adoptable cats.
